I have never mail ordered a plant, because I usually buy vendor-direct at various plant shows and sales we attend. Time before last, the two I purchased were from
Orchid Daze at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Various vendors were set up to sell their orchids and the greenhouse there was filled to the brim with orchids in all species and cultivars in full bloom along with a stunning display of local artisan artglass! Way impressive!
I'm going to visit that site you mentioned, repotme.com, and check it out, too. I also keep hearing mention of mounting orchids, but I haven't attempted this feat myself just yet, but I am dying to give it a try.
Let me know how well you do with your venture in mounting the orchids and growing from seedlings. It might encourage me to give it a try myself.
