I have had an Elleanthus capitatus for 3 years. It has more than 20 growths and is getting bigger than I had ever hoped for. I most likely messed up a week ago when I put it in a 9 inch pot from the 6 x 7 inch pot it had filled with roots. When I say filled, it was like a block of roots. I just moved it, as it looked healthy, and it would have had go out to the chopping block for redirection.
My questions are:
Is this one of those orchid that need to be root bound to think about blooming?
Is it one that nseed to be 5 years old?
Could this guy want a lot of light? Maybe full sun outside for the summer?
I have tried talking to it and verbal intervention is not working.
Hey K.C.! Well I don't know anything about this orchid, but this is what I found on ISOPE: IOSPE PHOTOS
I usually use them for a guide to lighting needs and when I might be able to expect them to bloom. So it looks like this one doesn't need a ton of light. I'll try and remember to look this one up on OrchidWiz for you.
