I don't bother misting mine. I do use a humidifier though, even though I have had bad luck finding one that lasts more than a couple of months. However I can definitely recommend the Vick's warm mist humidifier. If you decide to go this route, and your room isn't terribly huge, this one works very well as long as you clean it weekly.

IMO misting to raise humidity is a waste of time. The benefits are fleeting at best. You're better off buying a humidifier to do the job. I have found that large numbers of plants grouped together create their own little micro climate, and that the RH in that one area is significantly higher than a single plant sitting on a humidity tray by itself. I completely agree. A humidifier is THE way to go. You'd have to mist a plant every 5-10 minutes 24/7 to have it do any good.
