Yellow-Browning Leaves
Default Yellow-Browning Leaves

Hi,
I've already posted on here once about an Phal that I'd left in the sun and had gotten yellow leaves, but I think I'm still doing something wrong, or perhaps there's a bigger problem? The yellow parts have spread, and are browning. I've posted pictures of it. Does one ever cut bad parts off of the leaves? I'm tempted, because they look so unhealthy and the unyellowed parts are still such pretty green.

Thank you again to anyone that can help, and thanks for your time!

Dead tissue can rot and that tends to lead to more rot I would cut and apply cinnamon or some type of antiseptic.

I would definitely cut at least 1/8 of an inch in from the infected area and use an antiseptic. Looking at the first photo, am I seeing another area toward the crown and a streak in the middle yellowing??? on the newest leaf, could be a shadow. I would slow down on watering, let it dry completely and soak for about 15 minutes allowing it to drain well and continue on a normal watering regimen if you are not sure if it needs a watering, wait a day.

The rooting system looks healthy in area's and the norm of a few loosing there goodness. Am hesitant on suggesting to repot. It is apparent that the phal is not giving up seeing there are buds but they appear to be limp with that it's telling me the nutrients are going to the health leaves and not the blooms.

Phal are very forgiving and when you seem to have given it every chance they perk back and will give you some lovely blooms. Good luck
