DTPS Purple Gem growing culture help
Hello - this is my first time to post- not sure where to find myself, so I started here. I have a gift plant from a couple of years ago that has never bloomed. It is labeled as a DTPS.Purple Gem Dor.pulcherrima coerulea 'Zuma' x P. equestris 'Zoma Canyon' (leucaspis type )
I have roots, but the leaves themselves are soft and weak; after several months in brighter light, they got worse; now in weaker light- they still have not recovered. It looks alive and is in a large pot, floating the roots above the surface mainly, so I put it into a wide pot to let them drift around. Would it respond to different potting? I can put it into a slatted hanging box for the roots; hand it on some cork ? More light/ more fertilizer9 am pretty casual about fertilizing)
It's not looking good for the future; and I can't think of anything else to do. I checked around and couldn't find much cultural advice. I grow under lights, with a short morning of light from east window. I am in dry Colorado indoors is where she h as to live, and I try to keep all of my humidifiers at minimum or over 50%.
Help?
