Unhappy Orchid seedlings

Hi there everyone!

Hoping you and your orchids are doing well :-)

I am quite new to the world of orchids and have gone totally wild about them. I purchased some orchid seedlings in flasks from Indonesia during my trip there. I am deflasking and planting them in community trays with propagator lids. Just wondering, all of the orchids are looking fine so far, but one. They are dendrobium seedlings. The leaves look fine, but the roots appear to be turning brown. Is this root rot?

I am quite anxious about finding out what this may be as it takes so much time and energy deflasking and caring for these little babies.

Roots should be white with green tips. If they're turniing brown, they might be rotting. Is the potting medium too wet? Dens like to dry between watering.

Hi Orky, can you give us more information, what medium have you planted them in the trays? What are the other orchids? How often do you water? how much light do they get? do you have pictures?

Roots starting to turn brown probably are going to die, but you have to expect some to go, with deflasking you always expect some deaths and dead roots along the way.. hard to tell whether its a problem or not without more information
