Yeah. Someone has a swiming pool and the whole room arround it is full of 'chids of various types.
Someone, (it later turns out to be his wife) kills the whole lot with weed killer. Not sure yet (I'm still watching) if she also killed him.

Yes, I definitely remember that! While not an orchid lover (yet) I was a plant lover already, and it broke my heart to see those orchids all killed!

A nice Paph Sanderianum has just been shown.
Now that looks more like the real thing when I google it and see pictures. Glad they got something right!

They even state that Paph Sanderianum is the same Genus as the made up 'Yellow Roth' but the made up flower is nothing like a Paph of any sort.
Oh well... I'm enjoying the program anyway and seeing lots of 'chids while I do

Yes, we get Midsomer Murders here too and I saw that episode. I kept wondering "Is there really such a thing as a yellow paph"?

I love Midsommer Murders. We no longer get it here. We used to watch that and Nero Wolfe every Sunday afternoon. Nero was cancelled too. I liked his show even though his orchids were plastic! I have lots of them on tape. You can get them from the A&E website as sets. They have a sale every now and then. Carol

It's really funny how I notice orchids on TV more these days!! Even my husband says "Look Babe, it's one of your flowers" I say "Yup, that's a Phalaenopsis".
