very dehydrated Onc rescue... Help

I recently rescued an Onc that has been very under watered for a long time. All the new growth have crinkled leaves and the new pbulbs have been growing smaller and smaller. There is lots of new growth but I'm guessing its the plants desperate attempt to live on.

So after getting the plant I checked over the roots and they look good. I put it in s/h and soaked the aggregate in water and b1 then tented it with a plastic bag. I'm worried that after a couple of years of underwatering that I should be slowly introducing it to humidity. In the shape the plant is in right now it can't afford to get much worse before getting better so what's the best way to reduce shock? I can't get kln or superthrive in my area so thats why I went with the b1. Some of the new growth has pushed out some nice lookin roots but they are growing above the medium so I tented it to give those roots moisture and a fighting chance. The Onc is a NOID, it has very small pbulbs (the original ones, not just the water deprived ones) the biggest one is 1.5 "- 2", the leaves are pretty delicate and thin, compared to my 'Howards Dream' its about 1/4 the size and the flowers are small and blood red. This was my grandmothers and it means the world to me. I just wanna make it happy again. Please help

I don't think you meed to worry about the change in humidity, but be aware that a sudden change in liquid availability to the roots might be an issue.

If the current roots have grown in a very dry environment, then that is what they are physically "built" for, so they might not do too well if exposed to a lot of moisture. Keeping the plant in high humidity, however, will sustain the plant while it grows roots that will love it.

thanks Ray. Thats kinda what i was thinking. I figured the roots would prob rot but I have high hopes for the new roots that just started growing above the medium. There is also lots of little babies I just hope they are new enough and still growing. Was I right by adding the b1? I decided not to feed it since I know my grandma did not, I thought I would wait till next watering to fertilize it so I could lessen the shock. I'm worried that since I tend to be an obsessive mommy to my chids that I'm gonna love this one to death. Is there anything I SHOULD do specifically and SHOULDNT do specifically?

You mention that the newer bulbs are smaller, and that is likely because your grandmother did not feed it. Go ahead, but keep it dilute.
