Hi. I'm a newbie. Just found out the name of the most amazing, beautiful plant I have ever seen. Its in the title of the thread. I've named her "Princess," and she occupies space in my bedroom. Would anyone be able to help me get some good basics on this particular plant's needs.
I am in Miami, Florida. I have my a/c on most of the time, temp. is about 76. I'm keeping her moist with a gentle spray to the leaves and medium (moss) twice a week.
I'm using two ice cubes to water once a week: one from the tap and one containing 1/4 tsp. 20/20/20 to 1 gal. tap water. The grower said to do this because he put it in a magnificent oval Chinese Planter and used moss atop her plastic container, which is almost impossible to remove to water.
Light is filtered through a large bedroom window. she has 8 blooms--three of which I was privy to watch open--and she seems very happy. I don't let her dry out.
