Question Nurseries in Apopka area

Having exhausted S. Orlando, I trekked up to Krull Smith on Tuesday for the first time. I knew Apopka was orchid territory, but once I got off the highway I passed so many growers my orchid-loving brain almost exploded. It was like driving through the Redlands for the first time all over again.

My question to everyone here is this; does anyone have any recommendations regarding any of the growers in the Apopka area? Many of them are not on Google, AOS, etc. Which are open to the public and which are not? I'd like to make a day trip up there and just go from grower to grower so any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the help.

I've been to those growers you saw but I have no idea who they are! I was on a buying trip with a few members of our local club when i first started with the chids and wasn't paying attention (didn't know any better then )

I'd say just stop at each one and ask if you can go in. I don't remember being turned away from any but I don't know if that's because I was with the President of the club or not

Let us know what you find out...and get names and contact info!
