Default Bare root

Yesterday I went to an Orchid show and a Lady there was selling some bare root divisions, I purchased a C. Earl "Imperialis" FCC/AOS I has one new looking root of about 2 inches long , the eyes are suspect. But for $10 I took the chance, Question is does spag and bag work for eyes or only roots. Any suggestions ?

You mentioned bare root, and I'm wondering if it has any old roots. If it does, and they are in fairly good shape, I would just pot it in some bark, keep it warm and humid, but not too wet. If that new root is the only one, sphag and bag will help, but dont let it too hot in there, it could bake it. Those eyes can take a while to show some growth, so be patient. BTW, if you could post a pic, we could really tell for sure what it might need. Good luck, and keep us posted.

Both roots and eye look good to me, Virgil.

Looks pretty darn good to me too. For $10.00 you got a heck of a deal! Earl is a really great white. Pot it up, and keep us posted.
