Actually, for the bloom booster, it is a misconception that you must feed it when the plant is in bloom. Bloom booster should be used well before spikes appear, in the period where the plant should normally be initiating spikes. The bloom booster helps with that process. So if you were to use in on phals, most initiate spikes in the fall, so that's when you would give it.
Using bloom booster for a plant already in spike will do nothing.

I have heard that bloom booster helps plants produce longer lasting flowers and more of them. But I'm no expert so i could be wrong. I did read a really good article about plant nutrition though

OK so should i fertilize now that i have a spike or just regular watering. What can i do now that the spike has appeared to ensure a beautiful bloom? Please help me!!!

Keep fertilizing once a week. The plant still needs fertilizing as it is growing.
