So, you know the feeling!

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone when it comes to getting excited about new-little-plant-things.

Don't have any experience with this type but if it's growing these beautiful buds and you don't disturb it (particularly, the location it's been growing in) OF COURSE, it'll bloom! You're almost there!

A big, fat congratulations for this being your first....of many more to come!

Wonderful news Vicki. I sometimes get the same reaction from friends when I tell them about the flower action, spikes, etc. Guess you either like orchids or you don't.

Congrats! Seeing a new spike is a great feeling isn't it?? I've been growing orchids since the 1980's and I still get that feeling of euphoria when I see a new spike.
As long as the growing conditions stay the same it should bloom out just fine.

Thank you, Ross.

Yes, it seems to be...."either you like orchids or you don't".

Wanna know something funny?!.....I looked at my new buds at least 4 times today.....each time to see if they had opened any since the last time I looked.

Congratulations on your buds, they look great and I can understand your excitment.

I've got a phal which has one bud left to open (and five open flowers), and I find myself peering at it several times a day to see if it has shown any signs of opening yet. I'm so excited about every bud and every flower even though it's not my first or the first on this plant.
