Awesome. I have a phal that stopped growing, it seems dormant? The leaves are a good color and it looks healthy it just doesn't seem to do anything no visible growth??? Any suggestions??
First a pic would be helpful. Next, how long have you had the plant? It may be too young to flower and/or it is probably past time to spike and this isn't the time of the year for vegetive growth. If the plant is healty as you have said, just wait until spring. Begin using a higher nitrogen fertilzer sometime in early March. The other thing is to check the growing medium.....is it breaking down and does your plant need a new home????? Just some thoughts....
Another thing that could cause it to grow slowly is lack of lighting. I had a Phal that was blooming so i put it up on a shelf so I could see the purdy flowers and the cats couldn't get to it but the shelf got very little light. There was a leaf emerging when I put it up there and it didn't even grow 1 mm till the plant was moved back to the light
I go along with Brooke on this one. The first winter I grew phals I kept them too cool and they basically went into a psedo state of animation - did absolutely nothing - neither good nor bad - kind of like having plastic plants. RAISE THE TEMPERATURE is my first guess on what needs to be done.........
