Using Vitamin B Female
Question Using Vitamin B

Hi,
I just got a baby paph on sale because it had its flower stem cut. I always check the roots when i get home and I noticed it only has about 3 or 4 small 2 inch roots.

I saw that a lot of people mentioned that Vitamin B stimulates root growth, but are you talking about Vitamin B12 powder or B6 from the drug store. Im not too sure, could someone help me so I know what to look for and where.

Thanks guys!

Using Vitamin B Male
Default

It's B1 (thiamin), and in K-L-N concentrate, it's 0.025%, and that's intended to be used at but a few drops per gallon.

However, I contend that the most reliable way to encourage root growth is to put the plant in a moist, airy medium.

There was a great article in the fall Orchid Digest about rescuing rootless paphs in semi-hydroponics, using perlite as the medium.
