Question Seed to bloom times?

Does anybody know of any sites (or books, or other resources) where I can find out the time it takes for a particular orchid to bloom from seed? I'm not looking for something very specific, just something to give me a general indication of how many years it would take for a given genus to bloom...

Many thanks for any and all suggestions,
Joseph

Such information - if it exists - would be of little-to-no benefit, as culture and genetics both play HUGE roles.

Some phals have been known to bloom in flask, while the fastest "normal" culture I've heard of took 2 years from flask to bloom. However, even at that, I think it is likely that within that one capsule, you'd have plants bloom in two- to five or more years.

Then there are plants like Paph rothschildeanum, for which one often hears that "if you're over 40, don't buy a seedling, as you'll never see it bloom!"
