If you have some wind, Put a pole up outside and tie a tinfoil plate to the top of the pole....when the wind flutters the plate it not only makes a little noise....it also flutters around and scares the birds.

Around us they put up nylon line across drainage ponds to discourage geese from landing. What about putting up some poles on either side, and stringing fishing line across in a zig zag pattern, like a spider web, to discourage flying thru it

You know Jerry, that might work.
For the time being the teddy bear has made him change to another window. I don't think he will be afraid of the bear for long because he is not afraid of me.
If he comes back I will try to rig up something like you are speaking of.
Wonder if a catching him in a sticky pad, then letting him go will trigger his memory not to come back. I wouldn't want to hurt him, but the pads state putting vegetable oil on the pad will release.

My only concern is how do you free the bird from the sticky pad safely. What if you leave the house in the morning for 6 hours, and just as you pull out of the driveway, your bird gets stuck in the pad. Will he make it until you get back? Will he freeze? (I don't know your location) I would not use the pads if it were me.

I still say: use a 12-guage shotgun Less fuss and less mess to clean up. All that other gooey stuff will leave a real mess. Bluebird guts are real easy to clean up Only have to do it once. Then they get the message. Just remember "Don't point the gun toward the window!"

Jerry,

you have a kind heart.

Ross,

I'm not sure about you, but I think you like to have fun, as do I.

Yep, I do. I was just kidding of course (hope you could tell) But seriously, don't point a shotgun toward any window you care about
