Default Catleya blooms drooping question

Hello.
This is my first successful rebloom! And I'm so very excited to be doing something right. However this morning I noticed it was drooping. I staked it (see picture). Is this good? Or is staking it not going to work?
thanks.

That's normal. If the bud remains pointed straight up your flower will open facing the ceiling and won't be nearly as nice to look at as if it were face forward.

Might be the weight of the buds which drag down the spike a bit. Staking it was a good idea. Will you be posting pics of it once it blooms?

Make sure that you don't change the orientation of the buds in relation to the light. As it is, you'll get a really nice show from both. If you change the orientation too much, you'll only get to see one flower well at a time.
