Problem with my new Epidendrum 'Sunrise' Male
Exclamation Problem with my new Epidendrum 'Sunrise'

I got a new Epidemdrum last week and yesterday I noticed a white ring around the edge of the younger leaves. Inside the leaves are a dark green. What is wrong and what should I do.

Sorry but I do not know how to attach pictures.

Hi, welcome to OB!
Pictures would make it easier to find out what the problem is. Here is a 'How to' that will help you. Don't hesitate to ask if you still have trouble posting pictures after!

Tips for posting photos on OB

Could this happen due to clorinated water?

I doubt it. Pictures would really help. If you still can't post them, did you make sure to resize them first? They won't attach to your post if they are too big. Otherwise you can upload them to your OB gallery and we can see them there.

The plant looks okay to me. I have a Phal (actually it's my wife's since it's a noid) that does the same thing and as far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with the plant - it grows and blooms faithfully.

thanks I hope it's fine. I think that it needs a little more sun ( the new growth looks a little deprived of light). Thank to everyone
