Vicky the yellow leaves will fall of naturally. Dont mind them. Just remember, the new growths will keep you catts alive!, and a good indicator that your catt has adjusted to your surrounding. mine's already growing and starts to mature i hope it will flower by next year which i doubt it. try to avoid getting water trap from the core of its leaves it might cause crown rot. i understand your situation vicky you're now frustrated oh its part of the orchid hobby, i had that months ago. just cant get rid of the frustration! i even dreamed of my catts dying! hahaha! anyway couldnt agree more on jenn just let them be. happy blooming!

I'm totally using that line to justify my next weak moment in Lowe's or HD!

Vicki 2 things. 1st keep an eye out for mold in the medium. Being in the plastic box, higher humidity, cooler temps, and lower light is mold heaven. 2nd you probably won't see any new roots push out until the new growths have matured. So be very patient. As someone else said old pbulbs rarely grow new roots.

Hi Terri!
I'm gonna try my best to be patient, but I'm guessing you've figured out that I have a pretty hard time with "patience"....something I am trying to work on. In the meantime, I'll certainly take your advice and watch closely for mold.
Thanks again,
Vicki
