Went to repot my Blc Hawaiin Super Flare 'Carmela' --two new growths. The smaller one does not look the same as the larger. Could this be a flower spike or do catts always bloom from the centre of the leaf???

Catts always bloom from the top of the pseudobulb. That is definitely a new growth, looks like maybe it started out deeper in the medium than your larger growth, which would give it the pale, elongated look. It will eventually catch up and mature normally.

After doing my watering regimen this a.m. I found 4 of my catts with the same "new growth", as well as my onc. One of my catts that is in bloom had sprouted from the pseudo. So that 'new growth' makes for a happy happy happy chid...

Ok, thanks for the info. It's just that the smaller growth has two points (looks kind of like a phal spike) whereas the larger has one point.
This is the same plant I posted about a few months ago (leaves- single or double) that has several p-bulbs with one leaf and one with two leaves. So maybe it's sending out another double leaf.
