Another Bl. Richard Mueller Hybrid
This is a miniature that is only about three or four inches tall. The plant is Bpl. Fiftieth Anniversary (Bl. Richard Mueller 'Newberry' x Epi. conopseum or magnolia) The picture shows how the plant blooms pink and slowly turns to yellow and they last for up to two months. Epi. conopseum is native to this area where it grows on Live Oak trees in the company of resurrection fern. It blooms from fall through spring. Bl. Richard Mueller blooms best during the warmer months so this little plant blooms all through the year. The flowers remind you somewhat of the rupiculous laelias. Anyhow, it is a pleasure to grow. I got this plant from Carter and Holmes about two years ago if anyone is interested in finding one.
Well, the pictures posted in reverse order. The first one was supposed to be pink.
