Default My New Dendrobium

I got this Dendrobium today at Home Depot. I know they don't have the best rep for their orchids, but I couldn't resist! I was told today by my best friend that when the flowers drop on them they are going to throw them all away!!! Guess who will buy more, to keep them from being tossed out like yesterday's garbage!

Anyway, back to the subject at hand. While in the store I pulled the plastic pot out of the clay pot to get a look at the roots and such. I noticed that there where small white specks all through the medium. I thought maybe fungus. i almost didn't buy it, because of that, but I knew that I would get some AWESOME advice on how to get rid of it and make my new baby healthier than it probably is right now! I just couldn't walk away from an orchid in need! I have some picture of the medium, plant and the flowers. Please help!
