anyway after three long months of stagnant growth. im now going to end up what my maid do! wrap all my orchids using foam (polyester), tie it and hang it all over my my plants! i hope roots will develop! gees! if it does then im going to spread and tell everyone who complains about having difficulty in developing new roots on vanda! sigh! im soo tired taking care of my bare root orchids.
I'll take care of your babies for you!! I'll even give you the shipping $!
Why are you wrapping foam though?? What does that do?
For my 'barerooted vanda's, I put them in a nice basket, with lava rock, and sphag moss. And all are ever so happy with that. New roots, growth, & blooms
But I'll seriously take your pain in butt babies off your hands if ya like
aww... actually i dont know why i dont see the connection too... but strangely my ever first vanda have grown alot of roots with what she did. she just wrap it with a foam then stick it on a tree. then after a month roots just appear. i really dont understand why mine doesnt. anyway i promise myself i wont even touch them. ill just leave them for a while to acclimate the environment. I think foam is a good medium thing is... its pretty unatural to see- but on my understanding foam is a good way to promote roots, since it doesnt hold water but the it keeps it moist ( so prevent wet feet) they can be keep moist for several hours. and it can aerate itself so... hmm we'll see.. if this thing works then im going to buy vanda sanderiana.
