Buying orchids on Ebay

Hi!

I'm looking on ebay to buy one new orchid. I found a rather good amount of intersting offers... I would like some help to choose the best one.

This clone really stands out in the crowd. Blooms are heavy substance and velvety textured. These 4 inch beauties have a pleasant but mild fragrance. Flowers are silky lavender with a deeper lavender lip. Lip is well marked. Blooms are held well above the foliage on strong spikes.
They are vigorous growers and easy bloomers. A very rewarding plant to grow. Plant is in a 4 inch pot. 12,50$

This is a wonderful addition to any orchid collection. The blooms have intense colors and fabulous markings. The petals are long and twisted. The blooms are a perfectly shaped and show stopping in their color. They last for months. This is a large, bloom size plant with 3 growths. 9,99$

How much is shipping? You can get one of the those blc clones for about 6 at a local walmart.

My first concern is whether those listings are in Canada or not. Importing orchids across the border requires a lot of paper work on both sides.

Jorch, check ebay.ca yoit lists the Canadian listings and people that have the documents needed to send to you.
Best thing to do in any case is to contact the seller and ask about your shipping costs BEFORE you start bidding.

I have purchase many orchids from Ebay. Just watch the Feedback rating and take the time to read feedback, as well.
