Default What is S/H?

I'm fairly new to orchids, and bad with acronyms, abbreviations, etc to start with. What is S/H? I've been looking at different types of mediums to see if they could be abbreviated as S/H, but I'm at a loss.

Wow, there's a slap-to-the-forehead moment for you. I didn't even think of Semi-Hydroponics. Thanks so much!

Just as a matter of interest, I always wonder why the term "semi" hydroponic. Isn't this hydroponic growing, or what is the difference?

From what I know of hydroponics, this is technically hydroponics. It's a form commonly known as aggregate hydroponics, because of the clay pellets or other inorganic medium used. Although I think that for it to be true hydroponics, it would require a pump system. S/H lacks a pump, thus the "semi". My hydroponics book is pretty old, so the terms and practices have probably changed.
