aww dats bad! i wouldnt do dat to any of my orchids! even they're pretty sick I would still try and try to recover them! its a bit challenging. would it be possible for a phal to bloom/survive on direct sunglight? i really dont know coz here in my area i have a phal that is actually been growing well in a direct sunglight it takes afternoon sun! although yeah theres a lil burn on the leaves but i observe it keeps on blooming and bringing keikis. weird though. *i think u should try to put ur phal on direct sunglight than putting them in the fridge!

I laughed my arse off at this thread! I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation. So what if we don't agree, it isn't our plant!!!

Sometimes when I'm frustrated by an orchid, I start by moving it around to try different growing conditions, and eventually it seems to make its way out the door. If I can't find the right spot, sometimes it even moves all the way to the compost bin. I suppose a Phal in the fridge is no worse.

First let me say that this thread is 100% serious. However, due to the overwhelming amount of common sense responses I took it out of the fridge and put it outside. It has one more year of my time. If there are no blooms I will use it for skeet. Thank you for all your help.

It's your fault for spoiling that poor little thing. I think somebody else needs to go in the fridge, not the poor phal.

magicatt,

I'm not sure if it's worth a skeet shoot for a plastic plant.

I couldn't help it.

I totally agree with irphrog!! This thread is hilarious. I loved the thought of putting the phal in the fridge, I've felt this way many times with my plants...though I lacked the guts to actually put it in the "reefer"...LOL!! I was all about it

This is one of the threads where I actually read every single post - excellent!!

I wish you luck with your phal. I think putting it outside is a great idea, but not nearly as much fun as putting it in the reefer JUST KIDDING!! Don't attack me!! I'm a plant lover, not a plant hater!!

Well, it is up to you... but I would venture to guess this phal doesn't get enough light... I would maybe put it outside, but not in the fridge. Have you tried a bloom booster solution?
My mother in law gave me a phal that hadn't flowered in Years.... I put it by an east facing window, and in less than 4 months the sucker bloomed. Sometimes it takes moving it to a brighter spot.
Good luck.
