First Bloom Seedling
This is a seedling that is blooming for the first time. It only produced one flower that is about four inches with a large lip inherited from Brassovola nodosa. The name is Bc Little Masrmaid 'Janet'. The parents are Bc Maikai x B Nodosa.

Very pretty blossom. Is it scented, Jerry?

It has a very pleasant fragrance but nothing like B. nodosa. Unlike nodosa, it is scented during the day.

That's a really pretty purple, I love it. The shape is particularly appealing as well.

Wow, that is nice! Have you tried sniffing in the dead of night? I wonder if you can get a 'two scenter!' One scent during the day and one at night!

As a matter of fact I have Steve, thinking that it might because of the nodosa. It would be nice to have a two scenter but it didn't smell.
