I 2 am having miltass probs. Have/had a very lg, very health "Royal Robe" that I split several blubs and repotted. Used cinnamon. Still damp, have not rewatered. However, getting some yellow leaves. Anyone have exp. w/Miracle Grow orchid mix? Tried it. Seems a bit 'dense'. Too much 'food' in it? Mixed it w/some sphag, but am worried that I took a perfectly healthy plant and messed it up. Thanks and good luck w/yours!

Miracle grow mix? Is that the one with chunks of bark and pat moss mixed in it, if it is I would not use that for any orchid except maybe a terrestrial, I find it holds too much water for many orchids. After being shocked by being ripped apart it is normal for a few leaves on an orchid to yellow and die, it is adapting to the stress you put it through, give it a few weeks to tell whether it is going to be okay or not.

Yeah, that's the mix. I feel the same, glad I lightened it. Will leave them alone for a good mon. to dry. Thank you for your reply!

If you can i would recommend using pumice or charcoal to give it even more air. Miltassias are forgiving though, i grow the largest ones in clay pots with just bark and smaller ones in pure moss. They like a slight moisture at all times but really hate wet roots, at least in my experience.
