Orchid Blooming question Male
Default Orchid Blooming question

I just got some Orchids in the mail. I had them about a week and the blooms are dying. They are Blc. Miya's Fascination. I am not sure what to do.

Any help would be nice. I am not sure what type of Orchid it is. i.e. Cattleya

Hi Jeremy

A Blc is a member of the Cattleya family, here's a care sheet to help you out:

Do you have any other chids? We'd love to hear more from you...if you like, you can drop a in our Introductions-Break The Ice forum:

It is a Cattleya alliance hybrid. Brassavola x Laelia x Cattleya = Blc.

Blooms just don't last forever. Shipping is rough on them too. Sometimes dry air, smoke, oils from fingers, ripening fruit, and other environmental factors can shorten the life of flowers. Some just last longer on different orchids. My guess is that it just got a little shocked being moved in bloom.
