Militonia mistake??? Female
Default Militonia mistake???

So I need to know if I am doing the right thing or not. I just purchased 4 large militonia plants and I knew that they would arrive to me somewhat bruised from the journey. So I checked out the roots, and yes, dead and squishy. So I repotted them into some moss in a clay pot. I know that most people do not use moss for these types of orchids, but I have had success in the past bringing a militonia back to life using moss. And plus moss really likes me, and I understand it! However, is there anyone out there who thinks this moss repotting decision was the wrong one? I am also keeping the poor things in a cooler area, with less water than usual and with less light. I read that that that would help the orchid "get use to its new home." Does anyone have any other tips for me to save these plants - they are over a foot tall with at least 10 psuedobulbs on them! It would be a shame to loose them. Plus, out of my 100ish orchids that I have had so far, only 2 have died so far. I do not want to ruin my record! Help!!!

Also, I think there are some kikis on top of the psuedobulbs - are they really kikis? Do milionias produce kikis?
