I'm excited for you Serge! I'm getting ready myself to start some hobby flasking.
I just need to get some equipment...and a personal teaching day with an experienced hybridizer who told me he'd be happy to teach me his methods. Umm...I wonder if there's a nervous smiley around here...

Yes dgenovese1
There is so many way and recipe to do seedling, that is hard to decide. A good teacher is a very good reference for you. Don't miss it.
Just thinking how to sterilize dry seed, ouffffffffff 10% bleach, 3% peroxide, 12 hrs in sweet water, few drop of this, few drop of that, 5 min. 10 min....
But it is a challenge and a AB, not a job
I have been thinking about it for the past 2 month, and i will have fun with it for the next 5 ears
For me, it's just like fishing : We don't do it for the meat.

good luck!
I did my first semi-successful sow a few weeks ago, had a few contams but mostly OK! The only thing im nervous about is the replate, since it seems like a better chance for contamming things, and i only have a crude still-air box

Undergrounder
If you do the exact same thing has your first sow,you should get the same result(semi-successful).You will get some babys for sure.
Has you saw on the pictures,i try the steam technic. Will see what is the result.
How long it take to see contamination?
Will stay in touch for updates

Hi Des,
No it is not a replating tool,it's a doctor tool. hi hi hi
I did use it to collect the seeds, and spread them in the medium.
But that thing is very sharp and hope i will not damage the protocorms when i replate.May be i should talk to my doctor about it.
