In my defense, it was a snap purchase after I finally killed off two more orchids, espcially one of largest Phalanopsis I've ever seen, the leaves would get close to 22" and the blooms were incredible. Desperation purchase maybe?
Tami, there's no need to defend yourself...we have all made purchases that in retrospect weren't the best idea

Your plants are most likely going to be smaller than you expected and maybe not as healthy as you'd like them to be...but they won't automatically be a lost cause. With a little TLC and some they have a very good chance of doing a turnaround...you just might have to wait a little longer than you hoped for

I hope your back is doing better, don't overdo anything...

baby steps

Thinking about it, I've now come to the belief this order will be a fantastic learning experience for me. Being in Homestead, I can pick up in full bloom orchids any day of the week if I'd like.

Now, I get to take seedlings and learn to really grow orchids, instead of just keep them flowering and healthy (if you know what I mean).

Even if 1/2 - 3/4 of them don't make it I'll learn what I did wrong.

I'd rather kill a 2 for 1 $4 orchid than a $40 one!!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement and best wishes for my back. It's been two year of absolute hell but I'm getting much better and stronger every single day. Lord willing, I'll be back to work next year and back to my constantly on the go self.
