You can also buy ceramic orchid pots with holes in them. I don't think BC has a Sheridan Nurseries... but if a garden center sells a lot of orchid (say in February ) They sometimes carry them. I have also seen them at Home Depot recently. It was shocking.

i never wet mine i only add a lil piece of tape on the spot i wanna drill then i use the masonry drill bit pretty big one and just drill away and it has never cracked on me before and i've done about 7 terracotta pots with the same technique....so you dnt have to wet it at all.....have fun drilling away you might wanna use some gardening gloves it'll get a bit dusty and your hands will get dry....

At first glance I misread your heading as Pot Holes. We have an excess of those in our Michigan roads. Who would want more.
