your plants look healthy
i wouldnt worry about them too much
the vanda is wrinkley because it is recovering from the period of no roots but will be fine now that there is some new growth.
I am not sure about the renanthra it is in the vanda family so should recover along with the vanda shortly
just keep the humidity high and they will be fine

hi frostedeyes!! your vandas are fine, i think the leaves are wrinkley because its getting some nutrients in it to make roots. I think they are very easy to grow, i got my lola's age old vandas two weeks ago and mounted them on a branch of neem wood, and now they are growing new roots and leaves.

yup some of the orchids here are cheap, it depends upon the seller. but you can haggle with them especially if you buy 2 or more plants. im really getting addicted to orchids as well. when i visit the nurseries, which is a short 10 minute walk from where i live, i cant help but buy one. My recent purchases is a very robust and large growing sanggumay for only 100 pesos.

2.50 is good, right up my alley LOL if I could find that alley. One day? Ive heard of some orchids and other type flowers doing that. I wonder if they go thru too much stress to deliver such an intense fragrance.
