everyone.
I have a small fan (not sure if it's a computer fan) that is 120V, 60 Hz and 0.3A
I heard somewhere that a DC adapter could be modified/cut off plug in/attach to wires, plug in and voila.
My question is, what type of DC adapter would work with this fan? i.e. what amperage exactly?
Also, OTHER than a DC adapter, is there another way...maybe an electrical lamp wire/plug?
Thanks...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Since it's coming into fall, you might be able to simply find an inexpensive fan at walmart or some other inexpensive retail store--- $10-20.
Personally I try to avoid too much wiring near water---my fiance would most likely say, you can do this HOWEVER use heatshrink for the connections where you spliced the cables and/or outdoor rated connection caps.
After pricing out the cost of materials, it might actually be cheaper to purchase a small fan already assembled with variable speeds---unless you are building a terrarium and need an inlet and outlet fan. Check the polarity to see if it is pushing or pulling the air.
indeed the fan you have is able to plug into house current, presuming it has a plug.
Radio Shack has computer fans ( I think they are referred to as cushion fans) wired for 120v. I just couldn't figure how to rig to my system. I bought a very satisfactory fan at Bed Bath and Beyond for about $30 but quiet was one of my most serious consideration.
