I have some orchidspecies from Southern America, and some of them starts their growing season now - like Stanophea wardii, a couple of Gongoras, P. bessae. At the moment they all are in a south- or east-facing window. I know that Stanophea and Gongoras like to be kept in shade. The bessae has been kept in the same window for a year. It flowers one month later than last year, but doesn't seem to sulk. But I don't have that much experience with these species, so now i wonder if I have to give them some extra light through their growing periode.
