Default Found a friend/shop owner to help me

Meet a guy that sells Orchids and a few other flower two weeks ago and today I stopped and talked with him for an hour or so.
Nice guy that sure knows his Orchids and I think I can learn a lot from him.

Next week I am going to find a book that I can learn what kind of Orchids I have and maybe a little advice. Is there a site that will teach me how to find information about my Orchids?

I must take a week and spend it with my Orchids, taking pictures and making tags for each plant. I have just been to lazy to spend the time.

No question books, the internet and just going out and seeing other plants/speaking with your new friend are all great ways to learn. And are necessary for a good reference base. The other GREAT source is this board. The diversity of the members is unbelieveable. Their collective knowledge base is so tremendous that you could never replace it with 100 or more books! And the other GREAT thing is they always want to help another grower/hobbyist. So post questions and pictures and participate and you will be rewarded with a bounty of information....and that's all the Doc has to say!

OK, guys and gals....I know the Doc is old and maybe getting just alittle pre-senile but this thread started out by Burr asking for sites to learn about her chids. Then I see Swamper saying "that's funny".....what's funny. And now Janet comments about chids growing in your own yard in a tree....where did this come from..... What did I miss....err, how did I miss it....and????????

Dorothy help...quick because the guys with the white straight jackets will be here soon....HELP!!!!!!!!

Not sure where the comment about chids growing in your own yard in a tree came from, but Swamper was laughing at Burr's second comment in the thread....I think
