Oooooookay, suddenly I'm not feeling so bad about going from three plants to 50 in a year...

I try not to purchase any more than I can comfortably carry while at shows and never more than will fit in a box when ordering! Since they are usually minis, that can be quite a few. I just rearranged and added another light upstairs and I now have room for at least 4 new Masdies. Wonder what they'll be

I try not to buy more than 2 orchids at a time at the shows. Plus, I only take a specific amount of cash with me. It takes me at least a couple hours to figure out which ones I want, so I end up buying only those which I cannot live without! For this next show, I'm even going with a wish list. Haha

Ha ha, you only take cash you say....You never said anything about your credit cards.

I am cash only as well. I had to shut down all of my credit cards just to stop myself! It has really made a big difference this year. Besides a few flasklings I purchased, I have only purchased the project plants. I sooo can't wait to have the loan paid off from which I combined my credit cards into....one year left and counting! This has been the most painful year ever...lol. Hopefully I can maintain when the year is up since I really really really don't have any additional space right now and increasing it isn't an option while living in this house!

My "credit card" is actually a debit card against real cash. While it appears I charge, I merely debit my bank account. Now how much do I have on hand? Better go check.

I'm right with you Becca! I just got rid of my cable TV, paid off my car, no credit card debt, stopped eating out (unless I have a coupon). Now I'm working on lowering my mortgage payment. I'm on a tight budget for at least the next two years. I spend so much money putting gas in my car that I've had to compensate in other departments. Da*n economy!!

However, I'm not letting that stop me from getting more orchids! I look for good quality, decent price, and try to stick to my "can't live without" list
