Default Some of my babies..

some new and others not so new.

The 1st pix is of my new Brsdm Fangastic. Its my first mounted orchid and I just LOVE how it looks. I think I've been ruined for life with this mounting thing. LOL

#2 This is my "mini tree" of small phals and dens in 3in pots that I have hanging on a chain.

3rd pix is a close up of the delicate flowers from the dens off the chain tree.

#4 is my new Blc Chia Lin -- I don't know which I want to bloom 1st, this one or the Fangastic.

Ok.. nuff for now.. resizing these photos to get them uploaded is a pita.. enjoy!

Jacki I love the mount, it's beautiful.
Glad to see you adopted the pigtail blessing LOL
Uploading pics was a huge PITA for me too until I uploaded that program they have here. Now it's just one right click one left click away. EASY even for me.

Becca & Bellini, I sure don't mind at all. The pots have the small hangers on them and slip in the chain and voila! I just went and got more chain the other day to do this again... Now I imagine for heavier pots use a little bit stronger chain (the one in the pix is for decorative functions) but it prolly wouldn't hold several 6in + pots, so it would be inside the HD/Lowes to find something suitable, but still use the 6in pot hangers so they aren't visable.

Watering is simple just making sure the moss is appropriately wet.. I use a bottle sprayer. I do not take it apart.. I'd never get it back together again. LOL ..

Swamper, the mounted Fangastic I got from a grower down near your neck of the woods in Ft.Myers... As well as the Chia Lin.

Now, I'll have to go find that proggy.. coz all this editing on my end takes all the fun out of u/l pixs to being a huge chore. I did end up just loading a bunch in my gallery for now-no limites there.. And yes, the pig/pony tail.. GREAT invention! its a wonderful thing when ya need it!

Love the chain idea! I'm wondering if you got your cool mount from Marilyn's or Sundance Orchids here in Fort Myers?

Hi Vanessa,

It is true I got them by a grower in Ft. Myers, but it was OchidsAmore.com. I'll be ordering again too. I was very happy with my order.

I love the plants on the chain too JackiBlu. I've never seen this. What do you have it suspended from? Your plants look fabulous, all healthy and creatively placed, fantastic mounting!

Swamper, what program, the one you go to for uploading through 'manage attachments' or, is there a separate program to download/install?

JackiBlu, I have been using chains in my greenhouse for a long time to conserve space. I hang three of the same size pots at the same level so that one plant supports another and they all hang straight. It also enables you to hang more plants on the chain.

JackiBlu, would you please tell me the name of the dendrobium with the purple center. I have one that looks identical that I bought years ago from Home Depot in a 3" pot for a couple of bucks, with no name. The plant is a beautiful specimen size now that produces dozens of spikes at a time. I like it because it has remained very compact and the canes do not grow much over eight inches.
