Repotting my orchid
I've recently moved to university accomodation, but while moving, my sister dropped my beloved Odontonia Boussole 'Blanche' orchid.
The clear plastic pot is now broken (chips along the lip, and cracks down the side). Lots of the bark also fell out, leaving the small roots exposed, which they never have been before. The plant is now very unstable, and is leaning forwards alot due to the weight of the leaves.
I was just wondering whether i should repot, and buy new bark, and if i was to repot it, could i oput it in a more attractive pot (i.e. a clear class vase with plenty of room at the bottom for drainage.)
Also, i've been thinking for a long time about whether i should seperate the plant a little becasue it does seem crowded. I would appreciate any reply seen as this is my first and only orchid and i would hate for it to suffer.
I can take photos of it if wanted, though i'm not very good, so the quality will be bad.
Thanks in advance, super_t
