Serge: What a great series of pics, thanks for your effort! I am going to keep your pics on file. I really like the hanging one, I am going to use it for my other garden plants too!

Des: That is the one I saw from another grower! The mesh wall and ring set up! What a fantastic idea!

What does this all mean? More space and more money saved by making my own hangers... There's only one conclusion- more orchids!

Tks for all your help, things we do for our 'chids...

Buds , I will post some pics of the jig used to make these hangers into the new posts incase others would like to use them. You can bend these by hand but it is difficult to make them the same size . that is why i designed a jig to make them . I will be in Perth December / January and would bring you a jig but I believe your customs people do not allow any wood items into OZ

Hi Des,
That is so kind of you!
You are right, nothing is allowed in WA, I am surprised there are people here!
AQIS officers in full protective gear used board newly arrived international flights and spray passengers with disinfectants!
I am so glad they don't do that anymore. It is quite embarrassing!
Looking forward to your pics !
Cheers,
Juliet

Serg, I want to try to make your wire hanger. I have a question:
(a) is there just one piece of wire that feeds through the loops at each end, or
(b) are there two pieces of wire, one that goes half-way around the pot with loops at each end and another longer piece that feeds through the loops of the shorter piece around the pot?

Thought I'd unearth this thread.
Been trying to find easy instructions on how to make pot hangers of different types, and Serge had some great, easy designs.
