Do I need to rinse off a plant every time I re-spray it with insecticidal soap?

Do I need to rinse off a plant every time I re-spray it with insecticidal soap/ fungicide?

I haven't been, but I'm probably assuming I should.

(Actually, I read somewhere that you should spray it on, let it dry for 30-40 min, and then rinse it off)

Any thoughts?

I don't, but I use an organic soap, not one specifically intended to be insecticidal. it degrades naturally, and washes off when you water. I wouldn't worry about it.
