I've inherited a Costco Phalen that is ready to bloom again in my south facing CT frozen winter window. The cats have had their way with the meaty leaves and have knocked it over several times yet it keeps going. I thought I might need to transplant it in to a ceramic pot but from what I've read it should remain in plastic? I've bought sphagnum moss from our nursery but haven't a clue as to the procedure for actually repotting. Do I get a bigger plastic pot?

My cats also have their way with my plants and thats why i have a plant room that they are locked out of at all times . I would suggest keeping it in the plastic pot but put the pot in a clay one so its heavier and they cant knock it over as easily
