I have this Stanhopea Jenishiana and some parts of the leaves are white or clear green.... i'm not sure but I think is a disease... someone can help me please???
I islolate the plant and cut the leaves...to prevent infect the others... What can I do with this plant???
My first thought is sunburn. Looks like the chlorophyll got bleached out of the leaves. How bright do you grow this one?
It could happen... I have a lot of Stanhopeas in the same shade conditions... all of them are dark green but someday could happen with this... I'm not sure...in my country the sun is very strong specially at 12:00...
I wonder if there was a gap in your shading system that allowed some midday sun to come through and hit the middle leaves like that. Im guessing it was midday sun because the burn marks appear at the top of the leaves, while the bottom parts of the leaves are ok. Just one more reason why I dont think its a disease! Good luck!
