Possibly crown rot? When you water it, do you make sure the water doesn't get on the leaves or pool in the at the place where the leaves meet the center? If it is crown rot, you'll want to increase air circulation. I once saw someone mention putting a drop or two of hydrogen peroxide into the crown of the plant, but I'm not positive on that.
Hmm... another leaf is about to die. That leaf wasn't particularly healthy when I bought it, with a crack in the middle of the leaf. Now it appears to have crown rot too. I expect it to fall off in a day or two.
The roots look kind of white now, even though the plastic pot is still a tiny bit moist.
I really should whack the flower spike now, right? Just to make sure the plant has enough energy to grow some more leaves and roots...?
