Hey, people, I've got a question. I wanted to re-pot this plant, currently potted in lava rock, into Aliflor. As you can see from the attached pic, the root ball is hopelessly wrapped around the lava rock. Can I just plant the rootball as-is into the aliflor? I was only planning to go up in pot size 1 inch on all sides. Any suggestions?

Whew. That's a tough one.

Depending on my mood, I'll either plop it into a pot and fill in the void, or dull the crap out of a knife splaying the root system.

Either one seems to work.

I'd soak it good and then use my fingers to gently "wiggle" through the roots. Shouldn't be a problem
