I wish I could, right now I don't have the right camera stuff, sorry. I think that it is a deciduous type. The leaves fell off all at the same time. It looked great and then not so great.

Is there a name tag in the pot? That would help too.

For Upstate NY, I think this is too early for the leaves of nobile type Dendrobiums to drop. It's usually end of October into November. So I suspect some other issue here.

I too, have a problem with Dendrob leaves falling off. I have several with strong canes but no leaves. They're names is Burana stripe and Burana pearl. How do you know when one is deciduous and not failing?

I used to have this problem with dendrobiums, ( non deciduous types) and found that when I watered more frequently the problem disappeared. so possibly you are underwatering.

Thank you Deb, That probably is the culprit (underwater). I have noticed since I have inceaded their water that the canes have plumped up some more. I live in the desert and I'm not as fastidious as I should be. My Phals are doing great but others are surviving but not flourishing.
