Utah - I wasn't thinking in terms of concrete! I guess that doesn't get any easier to dig when it's not frozen, huh?

As far as humidification, I was thinking letting the flusg water sun onto the floor, where it will evaporate, not through any device.

I also forgot the "collected rainwater" option.

Jerry's idea about the temporary hose-run opens up a lot of possibilities. At least that way it won't freeze on you.

I did think of something that might help: Once upon a time, I constructed my benches out of bread flats sitting on top of 55-gallon drums I had painted black and filled with water. (Drums acquired from the local car wash for free) Solar energy heated the water sufficiently that is saved me a bundle on running my primary heater, and in your case, if you're able to use drums as your bench supports, you can likely get a lot more in the GH, hence more water storage - a double benefit.

Thanks! I was going to get some 55-gallon drums (I can get them locally for only $15 a piece) but I didn't think of using them for bench supports. Great idea. Yeah, I was going to paint them black but now I'll reposition them where the sun will shine on them. I'm also going to use some for rainwater collection. I'd also thought about using them for snow collection in the winter. Hey, I have to shovel the walks anyway - might as well put them in a barrel and wheel the full barrels into the heated greenhouse to melt.

See, no money doesn't stop the thinking process.

Thanks all!
