Phal with a green seed pod

went to a lecture from my local orchid society about crossing orchids. I happen at the time to have two very different flowering phals. ( one dark purple, the other very pale yellow) i crossed them both. only one took.
i ran out and got several differnt things to flask them. what can i use as a growing media. i was going to use some green moss.
i am just so glad to have seed pod. i never thought this would happen. but what due i due.
